Kawano Hatsuyuki is a third-year student at Shirosaki Academy. He’s a rare delinquent at the prestigious prep school. With his graduation on the line, Hatsuyuki reluctantly shows up for class nowadays.
This year, the first snow falls in December.
In the old urban district, Hatsuyuki encounters a beautiful girl wearing a white dress. She’s wandering around town in the falling snow, searching for a rabbit.
One night’s magical encounter.

An editor takes the translator’s work and turns it into natural-sounding English. On works with multiple translators, they also ensure that the tone of the writing stays the same. This is my job.
A translation checker reads through the game and makes sure that the translator hasn’t made any mistakes.
A coder does the technical work, inserting scripts and creating the game patch.
Quality controllers will test the patch and look for any grammar/spelling errors that have been missed.

Oh, and I don’t have a real update schedule. I try to update at least once a month, but sometimes I update multiple times in the same week.

Well, that’s good if you try to update at least once a month. You know, sometimes it’s irritating to see there is no news or update about translation progress.
For example is the translation of Irotoridori no Sekai from Tokidan (Sorry for talking about other translation team here). There is no news or update for more than 3 months. It only makes people get irritated and wondering is the project is still continue or already dead.
btw, keep up your good work. I’m waiting for your tanslation on Hatsuyuki Sakura because I’m big fans of Hatsuyuki Sakura.

Does editor and translation checker must be good in Japanese or not?

It’s good when an editor knows Japanese, but it’s not essential.
A translation checker has to have very good Japanese. They should be at an N2 or, ideally, N1 level of proficiency.

To be honest, I’m interested to become editor of your project. I’m confident with my English, but I’m not that good with my Japanese. Also, probably I can be quality control too.
Also, I have zero experience of editor and quality control because I never become editor or quality control in any project before. It will be my first time to become editor.

Insertion on FH should be pretty simple.
HatsuSaku is kind of an unknown, since the Siglus game engine is so new. The only translated game that uses it is Rewrite.

Was a bit disappointed that Flyable heart still got a long way to go. Do you need an extra translator? My Japanese skill isn’t the best but I have certainly done translation before. (Though that was between Chinese and English.)

so for Hatsuyuki Sakura Translation Progress based from tweets, at 20th Jan the progress was 10.81% (4196/38793) lines, then at 18th April was 19.40% (7525/38793) lines, so about 2 month or 60 days the translation progress can be completed 8.59% (3329/38793) lines, sooooooooo…. the next update should be about 15 – 19 June with the progress is about 27.99% (10854/38793) lines. In this theory, I’m assuming that the 100% progress of this project will be reached about a year 2015 at the October – November. with extra last quality check/polishing and test bug, then this game will be released on early – middle year 2016 😀

This guy doesn’t seem to come to these parts very often, it’s likely that he already has a copy of Hatsuyuki Sakura which is why he wants to translate it, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. I’m curious as to why you want to help with the project?

Can’t for both HatsuSaku and Flyable Heart. Manga Gamers translation of Flyable heart was awful, thus their version got deleted 5 minutes after I first started it. Can’t wait for your translation of it though. v(^_^)

I wish there was something I could do to help…I just gave up on FH again because the machine translation is just horrible. I don’t know how to hack or edit images, and I can’t read or write Japanese…But I want to see this VN translation come to fruition. The plot already has me hooked and I love it so far! I hope they are still working on it.
